Pavel Hok, M.D.

Pavel Hok has been member of the fMRI team since 2008. He graduated at the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry of Palacký University in 2013. His major task is to process and analyse fMRI data using the FSL tools.

Since 2010 he has been participating in the projects of the Czech Ministry of Healthcare no. NS9920-4 (2010-2011) and no. NT13575 (2012-2013), 16-302100A (since 2016), 17-29452A (since 2017), and of the Czech Science Foundation (GAČR) no. 14-22572S (2014-2016).

Dr. Hok has published 15 original research papers (12 in journals with IF). His first original article called "Changes in motor cortex activation after botulinum toxin treatment in MS patients with leg spasticity" in the Polish reviewed journal "Aktualności Neurologiczne" has been later awarded with the Dean's prize for the best pregradual scientific work in 2011.

In the academic year 2011/2012 he has spent two semesters at the Medical Faculty of the University of Leipzig, Germany, where he also completed an internship in the Max Planck Institute for Cognitive and Brain Sciences. In years 2013 and 2015/2016, he has completed two research internships at the Department of Neurology, Goethe-Universität Frankfurt, Germany, supported by LLP-Erasmus and DAAD.
